Our Fish Picture of the Week!

Hey Capt. Mel,

A couple of my buddies and I went out on July 10th to an undisclosed location in West Central Florida to test our luck at some big redfish. We ended up catching five, all of which were over 32''. Here I am holding the big catch of the day, a 45'' mogan.

The fish took 15 minutes to bring in and actually burned out the clicker on my spool from screaming out so much drag. We fished in the late afternoon and the bait of choice was cut pinfish. As far as tackle, I was using a 6'9'' medium heavy Shimano Calcutta rod, a Stradic 3000FI, 10 pound test power pro, 30 pound test fluorocarbon leader, and a 3/0 owner mutu light circle hook.
